Who We Are
Our History
TANRAIL INVESTMENTS LIMITED is a subsidiary company established and 100% shares solely owned by the Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC). The Company was incorporated on 2nd November 2021 by the Business Registration and Licensing Agency (BRELA).
TANRAIL has been established to assist TRC in generating income through various business ventures. This includes collaboration with both public and private sectors, both within and outside the United Republic of Tanzania. By doing so, TANRAIL aims to contribute to reducing the financial dependency of TRC on the Central Government.
TANRAIL's strategic goal is to optimize non-performing assets and unlock long-term value through structured partnerships, thereby contributing to Tanzania's Vision 2025 and the National Five-Year Development Plan.
